What is the best content management system for me? I am planning on launching a website that has Several static pages, a Blog, an art Gallery, and an ongoing series of FAQ pages. I was wondering what the best Open Source Content Management System would be to implement this idea. I'd also like to have a reasonably simple backend. Something that isn't so complex that I have to wade through menus to alter any of it. I find it interesting that nobody else has given it a go. :: Giggles ::

Where can I find a content management tutorial? Hey hey. I've just mastered making a php blog using dreamweaver, and now I want to make a content management system...I suppose the only real difference is that with the blog, postings can't be removed or modified... Does anyone know where I would be able to find a tutorial? Would much prefer a dreaweaver based one because I'm on a deadline and need it doing asap (and dreamweaver's useful for that) I don't want something complex. Just a case of updating content, being able to delete or modify.

I want to learn about developing Content Management Systems CMS, can someone point me in the right direction? I am interested in designing a website that has very specific functionality and an easy to deal with back-end. I have used Joomla in the past, but am interested in making something professional. Should I start from scratch. Is there an industry standard that most professional online services use or do they re-invent the wheel and start from nothing? But if I did start from scratch, where is a good tutorial. And is there a professional CMS that is better than Joomla and the other open source ones, even if it costs a little money?

Content management for a frame on a web page? I'm working a website that lacks any sort of CMS. At the top of the home page is a "news" area that is constantly updated. It would be nice to setup a simple blogging type interface that lets the client update the contents of this frame (and only this frame) any time she wants. Any ideas? (I'm familiar with Adobe Contribute, but it doesn't seem to support the idea of just managing this one particular frame.) Cheers!
Does content management hurt your SEO? If you leave the content management of a site up to someone else... does it really hurt your SEO? Or does the person only have to be aware of the right key word usage in the text of that page? Does anyone have any good advice? Thanks!
I need a news/article content management programs compatible with Yahoo Web Hosting platforms; anyone? I am looking for a content management application that has a Graphical User Interface that allows for for writing news articles, placing the articles into whatever categories I want, being able to order categories, be able to handle multiple authors, approve articles before publication to the live site, hide articles from viewers while in the edit process and be able to have the approved article "go live" on a future date. I would be much obliged to anyone who can steer me to a Yahoo compatible product. Thanks much to all! I should add that I do not want to be hand coding any templates, or even need to remove and replace much, if any, HTML or PHP code. Rather, I want to use a GUI or wizard to effect changes.
Best way to learn website content management? I have a friend who would like for me to become content manager for her website, and I agreed but with the stipulation that I have to learn on my own. So I'd like to learn from the beginning. Just haven't the faintest idea how to approach the situation. The website will eventually include memberships, online store, and images/video circulation. Can I get pointed in the right direction please? I know it's a big task, but I'm very willing to learn.
Amazon Associates Content Management System (CMS), worth the effort? I am interested in hearing from anyone that may have or does work with the amazon associates program. My question is in two parts; a) Does it work for you financially? What 'kind' of earnings do you make from it and on what product categories? b) What content management system do you use? Why did you choose that one? Many thanks for your suggestions.
What Content Management System do large sites like CNN use? I know small sites can use WordPress and link up tons of installations of that and make a front page my displaying RSS feeds, but a huge site like CNN needs something that is a lot more scalable and has better search functionality. Do they all rely on custom CMSs or is there a prebuilt large scale CMS that nobody talks about?????
