what support do I use to make sweet pea plantlet climb around a tree, they are 5 cms tall & have no support?

I have planted sweet pea seeds around the circumference of a fully grown cherry tree. right now they have sprouted and are 5 cms tall. what kind support do I need to give them. I am trying to wind them around twigs which I dig in near them. but this is temporary.

1. I would purchase this trellis netting product and loosely staple it to the tree. The staples won't harm the tree since they will only go through the outer bark.
